A LIFE IN MOVIES

So Fandango Groover’s Movie Blog had a great idea of posting “A Life in Movies”. The idea is for every year that you’ve existed, for me from 1986, to pick a film personal to you.

What I tried to do is, even though there’re some more critically acclaimed films that I love now, I tried to select films that at the stage in my life in loved. So here’re my Life in Movies.

Andrew Robinson

This is my blog. There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My blog is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my blog is useless. Without my blog, I am useless. I must fire my blog true. I will. Before God I swear this creed: my blog and myself are defenders of my mind, we are the masters of our enemy, we are the saviors of my life. So be it, until there is no enemy, but peace. Amen.

Another great post related to the blogathon. Thanks for sharing.

PS Have included a Nolan film? Approved then :)

I will loathe "Armageddon" as long as I lived but at least it wasn't "Pearl Harbor".

"Hook" just for me brings out the worst things I don't like about movies like Robin Williams as a man-child, overly sentimental storylines, and a barrage of cameos that doesn't do anything.

Not convinced by some if your 90’s choices but I love the early picks and 1999 onwards. Thanks for taking part.

What do you mean "not convinced"? I think the only pick from the 90s I didn't see in theatres was The Matrix, which I had to get a taped copy from a friend and hide and watch it because my parents didn't want me watching violent films like that

“Not convinced” as in I don’t really like them but its your list not mine! Thanks again for participating.

Oh. That's cool. It was just a weird way for you to say that. Anyways, it was a great excercise… reminded me so many movies that I need to revisit just so I can reconnect with a younger me.
