DISCUSS: HOW DO YOU WATCH YOUR MOVIES AT HOME?

As I sat on my couch watching Zombieland for the billionth time I wondered to myself how does everyone else carry out this task.  Many people when they watch movies only do it at the theatre, with the big releases like Iron Man 2.  Though I do love my theatre experiences I always like to be able to take a seat on my reasonably comfy couch and pop in one of my dvds and watch a movie I’ve never seen before or have watched over a dozen times.

Personally there are many ways I watch films.  I have a not exactly brimming but at the same time not too modest DVD collection that I continue to expand every time I have the extra ‘dinero’.  I watch the films on a 42 inch HD TV that’s connected to a PS3 and a Blu-ray Player (why I have both don’t ask me, it just happened that way).  So I tend to enjoy my watching at home.  However, there are times when I’m relegated to watching movies on my 16 inch laptop, which has a Blu-ray player and an HD graphics card installed.  So I’m all High-Def all the time, or at least when the option is there.

Here’s an image of my laptop at work and yes that’s Where the Wild Things Are on it:

and here’s a photo my usual movie watching spot in the house:

All I want for Christmas now is a really good surround sound system to make my home theatre experience perfect.

So the question of the week is :

How do you watch movies at home?

This is my blog. There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My blog is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my blog is useless. Without my blog, I am useless. I must fire my blog true. I will. Before God I swear this creed: my blog and myself are defenders of my mind, we are the masters of our enemy, we are the saviors of my life. So be it, until there is no enemy, but peace. Amen.

I almost always watch movies at home on my 40'-ish TV via DVD (no Blu-Ray here… I'm a hold out).

On occasion I'll watch them on my computer or my little 13" TV if multitasking (and is a re-watch not a 'real' watch).

Ditto on surround sound. I think my lil TV has better sound than my new one.

Already have the surround sound (3, so, placed right in the center of that staring at my 15' laptop screen, cant get better than that, and all I really want for Christmas is some really good headphones.
