POLL: WHICH FILM SHOULDN’T BE IN THE SIGHT & SOUND TOP TEN FILMS OF ALL TIME?

So this week the magazine Sight & Sound posted the results of their poll which involved 846 critics chiming in on what they believe the be the greatest films of all time. I’ve already spoken on how I feel lists have their value in the realm of film criticism, and I can say that while I can’t disagree with the list posted (I’ve only seen half of the top ten currently) but it is interesting that the “newest” film on the list is from 1968, more than four decades ago. The idea that in more than forty years noone in cinema has made a film worthy of being discussed alongsideĀ Hitchcock andĀ Welles is absurd.

So before we go asking which films deserve to enter in the discussion one must make way for it. So my current question to you all is: which film in the top ten list would you say shouldn’t be in the list?

This is my blog. There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My blog is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my blog is useless. Without my blog, I am useless. I must fire my blog true. I will. Before God I swear this creed: my blog and myself are defenders of my mind, we are the masters of our enemy, we are the saviors of my life. So be it, until there is no enemy, but peace. Amen.
