Before you go any further please do not be alarmed. This is not goodbye. It’s not even a brb moment. This is just one of those ever so often needed introspective self critical moments that I feel all bloggers/writers need to have about themselves and what they want to gain from the experience of their medium.

I’ve been blogging for the better part of four years. I love it, but there are moments I hate. I follow a lot of blogs and each play by their own rules. However, I feel what’s spoilt my perception is the blogs that I follow which are managed by ten – thirty different writers and are able to keep current with up to fifteen news pieces and about three different editorials each day. I see that and I immediately feel that I need to be that. I need to be giving you all something new and fun everyday to enjoy. However, it’s become evident that it’s not working. For me at least. I’m not saying that I’m a hack — maybe I am — but rather I feel I need to figure out what I really want to achieve here and I’ve come to an editorial decision. The site will henceforth run as follows:

• I will not be posting new content everyday – I don’t find it productive and instead I find it more draining than anything else. I know a lot of bloggers doing it alone and able to keep up with great content and I congratulate them, I just don’t feel like it’s for me.
•  I will continue to do reviews of the current film releases (more than likely Monday posts, but may be delayed further to allow for hopefully an even better presentation) — this is in an effort to try and separate myself from the pack and give myself something unique as a writer and not just be another random voice shouting belligerently at the world on the never ending wall that is the internet.
• The Unnamed Movie Podcast will continue – as I truly enjoy that experience and while I may make tweaks here and there and have a few more bonus episodes (throw me some feedback on what you want) I honestly don’t want it to ever end even if I get to the point where I have only 3 listeners (I have more than that now though, thanks you guys listening).
• I will try and partner with more websites to syndicate and create more outlets for myself – I’ve been writing for ScreenInvasion intermittently this past year and had a stint during my festival excursions a couple of months ago at Film School Rejects and would love to find more places to keep making my voice louder and louder (while also more clear). So that’s my biggest goal to accomplish in the next six months or so.

So as I said, this is not goodbye, but rather a change in direction that I hope you will all enjoy and support. Please be patient and enjoy the new me as I try to do better as you all deserve better.
