So here is my new Wednesday feature article, hope to be pumping these out every week from here on out. I will be doing a Top 5 list, in relation to the week’s upcoming feature review. This week’s feature review will be Paul W. S. Anderson’s “Death Race” starring Jason Statham. So here I am revealing my top 5 characters who sit behind the wheel.

FIVE

Here we have Speed Racer from the same titled movie. This guy drives the Mach-5 at speeds that can only be brought about by our imaginations and possibly another 200 years of technological advancements.

FOUR

Here we have a tie for the best driver in all of Formula One and Nascar. That has got to be Jean Girard and Ricky Bobby in Talladega Nights : The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. These guys go at it on the Nascar track and they are ferocious, but in the end I have to tie them for fourth.

THREE

The Hollywood stuntman gone bad sits here in third, Stuntman Mike. He stalks young women and runs his car into a wall at 100 mph “just for the experience”. This is one charming character you don’t want to take interest in you, especially if he is in the mood for a lapdance. His scares are only equaled by his great driving skills that make him a menace on any highway.

TWO

In second place we have to remember our good old driver from the maximum force, ‘Mad’ Max Rockatansky. This is long before he has to deal with the Thunderdome, and he is still dangerous when behind the wheel. He even makes some men have their eyes pop almost out of the eye sockets [check it out on DVD] just by driving. He isn’t afraid to play dirty either.

ONE

The Bandit holds this position without a problem. He is the equivalent of the Hare of this universe. He takes brides to be, naps, and pit stops; all while being chased by law enforcement. But not to worry when he needs to move he can move. No end to the laughter and no worries when he’s at the wheel, which is why he is the king of all the drivers.
