With a week (and a day) to go to TIFF Douglas and I are ramping up with excitement for the festival. My return and his debut in Toronto it’s going to be great. Here we sit down and talk about the films on our schedule that we’re looking forward to and generally what’s we hope is awaiting us in Toronto.

This is my blog. There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My blog is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my blog is useless. Without my blog, I am useless. I must fire my blog true. I will. Before God I swear this creed: my blog and myself are defenders of my mind, we are the masters of our enemy, we are the saviors of my life. So be it, until there is no enemy, but peace. Amen.

I cannot wait to discuss R100 with you! Assuming you see it of course. I watched it last night but have been sworn to keep my thoughts mum until it premieres (per the conditions of the screener). I may try and catch it again with a Midnight Madness crowd.

Really looking forward to the festival this year! I picked my first batch of titles yesterday and will be picking the remainder on Monday. I am also going to try and squeeze in a few of the free screenings as well. I figure when else am I going to see some of these hard to find classics (e.g. Manila in the Claw of Night, etc) on the big screen.

    Good podcast. Enjoy TIFF!

FYI, Gravity is most likely coming to Jamaica. They are already playing trailers for it and it's in the "Coming Soon" section. In addition to those reasons, it's actually a wide release film.

Btw, the "Therese" that Audrey Tatou did (Therese Desqueyroux) is not the same story as this Elizabeth Olsen one (Therese Raquin). I'm actually surprised that Douglas is so excited for it. The difficulty it had in finding a distributor seems suspicious to me.

Ye… from I've seen the crazy amount of promotion for Gravity the only thing that would stop it from coming to JA would be it completely bombing if we don't get it same weekend. I've noticed they do that sometimes.

I have no idea (other than his inexplicable association with Elizabeth Olsen) why he wants to see Therese.
