It’s been a week. Guys, next week is Christmas. It feels weird. This is the first in two years where this week doesn’t mean lots of flights and such to me. The build up to Christmas feels so different now that I’m back in Jamaica again.

Otherwise it was a lot of productivity for me. Working on some private project that I just started — not yet ready to share yet — and at the same time I’m doing a lot of 2013 movie catch up watching. Some foreign films I can get my hands on and shouting at my cinema why I haven’t see Hobbit 2 yet.

So this is what I’m up to this week movie-wise:

THE ANGEL’S SHARE (2013) – It’s happy-fying; annoyingly so
LAURENCE ANYWAYS (2013) – Kind of amazing how intimately the film kept us with the characters. More than that I adore it’s depiction of emotions.
BYZANTIUM (2013) – UGHHHH. I should’ve listened to those guys who warned me from TIFF in 2012 when they saw this.
UNBEATABLE (2013) – MONTAGES!!!! and a lot of exercises I can’t do that hurt my body to look at.
DON JON (2013) – How habits and ritual can help and hurt your life; and fantasies in the middle.
RUNNER RUNNER (2013) – Meh. So Meh. Meh Meh Meh.
THE GREAT BEAUTY (2013) – OMG!!!! So much beauty and thought that makes me think of 8 1/2 in a great way, maybe greater way.
DECEPTIVE PRACTICE: THE MYSTERIES AND MENTORS OF RICKY JAY (2013) – I love magic. I love Ricky Jay.
RUROUNI KENSHIN (2012) – Why didn’t this remain a cartoon?
