An interesting week I’d say. I finally found some time to get in some much needed movie/me time as work is getting less hectic. Finally saw Nolan’s latest film (look for that review tomorrow guys) as well as Joseph Kahn’s amazingly cool entry this year. Check out the full list below:
FIRST TIME WATCHED
TED (2012) – oh look, more pop culture references… makes me think of why I love Scott Pilgrim vs. The World so much, but not this. Regardless it’s still funny adjacent.
THE DARK KNIGHT RISES (2012) – I’m currently in the initial OMG phase of Nolan reactions.
DETENTION (2012) – very worth discussing and putting up against Scott Pilgrim in a good way.
AZIZ ANSARI: DANGEROUSLY DELICIOUS (2011) – he’s still funny.
REWATCHED
BATMAN BEGINS (2005) – “Death does not wait for you to be ready! Death is not considerate, or fair! And make no mistake: here, you face Death”
THE DARK KNIGHT (2008) – “I believe whatever doesn’t kill you, simply makes you…stranger”
THE BIG LEBOWSKI (1998) – “You can imagine where it goes from here.”
RUSHMORE (1998) – “Oh that’s great. I wrote a hit play and directed it, so I’m not sweating it either.”
CHASING AMY (1997) – ” What’s a Nubian?”
SYNECDOCHE, NEW YORK (2008) – “There are nearly thirteen million people in the world. None of those people is an extra. They’re all the leads of their own stories. They have to be given their due.”
