Another week played out and somehow while this week wasn’t movie-filled like I like it I’m pretty sure the coming week will be even more sparse as Skyrim has finally entered my life. Me revisiting my Woody Allen #1 film of all time made up for all the mediocre movies that I ended up seeing otherwise but that’s what you get in March I guess.
FIRST TIME VIEWINGS
GOON (2012) – the hockey comedy which barely cares about hockey or comedy.
MACHINE GUN PREACHER (2011) – a much better story than a film. Sometimes overbearing, but Butler is good in it. Definitely a rushed plot.
JOHN CARTER 3D (2012) – it’s no better than Avatar, but saved by a 3rd act that I quite liked but I expect many to not.
GHOST RIDER: SPIRIT OF VENGEANCES (2012) – some enjoyable bits, not enough Crazy Cage for me though Idris Elba was a horrid role.
REWATCHES
ANNIE HALL (1977) – “Well, I guess that’s pretty much now how I feel about relationships; y’know, they’re totally irrational, and crazy, and absurd, and… but, uh, I guess we keep goin’ through it because, uh, most of us… need the eggs.”
THE COUNT
37 First time watches (7 from 2012); 22 Rewatches; 59 Total Films
